Andrew Wyeth once said, "One's art goes as deep as one's love goes." With my art, I express my love for life. Classically trained, I practice the centuries-old tradition of plein air painting. Painting directly from life is like a performance. Each movement, each brushstroke, is intentional. In a good plein air painting, the viewer should experience what the artist experienced. Changing light and shadows, weather, temperature and sometimes bugs. In the city or in the landscape, I want the viewer to be a part of the experience and see the visual poetry of the world we share.
